This I know. I've been so neglectful. But I have excuses!! LOTS OF THEM!!

My car drowned last month! Penny was parked outside me house, we got a freak storm that sat on top of the city for the whole night, and the next day there was 4 inches of water in my car. I am still taking her back to the dealership like once a week because some new electrical problem decides to reveal itself. I'm glad they didn't total her out, but I am hating that they can't seem to get her fixed completely!

We finally finished the last few hellacious months of installations at the museum I work at! Heres our big one for the summer, it's China's Terra Cotta Warriors. It was awesome to instal, and see these life sized statues up close and personal, and get to handle them, but it was a bit stressful too because we installed it and our new Diamonds show at the same time! It is wedding and baby shower time galore! Good grief when did all my friends decide it was time to get married and start making babies!

Also, I have been having awful migrains. My grandmother and great grandmother used to get them all the time like 3-4 times a month , but my mom only gets like 1 a year, and I have never had one until the past month or so. And now I want to chop off my own head.

On a fun note I have been crafting like crazy. So many baby quilts to sew and newborn sized booties to crochet! Not to mention a few Christmas presents from 2008 that I am still finishing. Finding time to hand quilt is hard, and those stitches are damned tiny!

ANYWAYS....excuses over....I MISS YA'LL!! I will try to not be so bad and neglectful! I promise! And I'm not even crossing my fingers behind my back!

Random news, I am looking for jobs in Ireland!! Wish me luck!

Even though this week is crawling by at a snails pace it's cool because I am still riding high on the crazy awesome weekend I had!

The best part was definitely Sunday night!! Now, normally I don't really like pictures of myself, I am more a behind the camera kinda girl, but this time I am so glad my friend had her iphone out and ready to snap away!

Me and 2 of my friends went to go see the comedian Steve Byrne preform at the Improve here in Houston, and the show was beyond great! And we got to sit right up front - like within 5 feet of him! I laughed till I cryed, smiled till my cheeks hurt, and then thought I was gonna break a leg or something trying to climb up onto the stage when he asked me to join him!!

It's effing Steve Byrne!!!!! So freaking cute!!!!!

He invited 5 guys up on stage, and the me. The guys were going to be making a boy band! Whatever dance moves Steve did they had to follow along with him. Then he freaking gave me a damn lap dance! It was insane! Then the other 5 complete and total strangers were all dancing up on me doing crazy things like the running man, washing machine, and the lawn mower dances! I was so red with embaressment, laughter, and tears!

It was crazy, and totally made the show and the night memorable. Then he helped me off stage and gave my his dvd to boot. Damn I love that guy! So awesome!

Anyways, just because I felt it was so much fun and whatnot I feel like sharing some of the pictures. Just ignor how washed out they are. It's an iphone not a dslr

Um...is anyone else thinking mass deletion?

First off I couldn't remember my password to even sign into my account. It says I have been offline for 14 weeks. Oops. At this point I can't even remember how to make most of the emoticons...(insert sheepish looking smile here)

So yeah...how ya'll been?? I've been up, down, left, right, and every other direction imaginable. Mainly that translates into working my ass off. The holidays were insane, the last half of January and all of February were insane, and this coming up April and first half of May will be insane. I haven't even picked up my Canon since Thanksgiving. My poor poor camera.

I guess it all breaks down into:
- working 10-12 hour days for the last 2 months, and probably for the next 2 months
- being out of town A LOT (but enjoying most of it)
- settled my lawsuit with comcast over my accident in '07
- another hosipital trip for my sister
- falling for someone hard resulting in learning a valuable lesson on lies and giving me trust issues
- got the go ahead for an exhibit at the museum that I get to create for 2010
- random messages from dA people in my email, other sites, and messenger programs to come back
- got audited on my damn taxes. thanks uncle sam .
- lots of wedding planning for my best friend meg (and lots of trying on hideous dresses before finding a great one)
- cut off my hair for locks of love...its short!

and about a million other things...


ANYWAYS, hell if you are still reading this I am thinking I am coming back. I think at some point I had just been gone for so long that I never thought about loggin back in (which is obvious since I couldn't even remember my password). And my page looks all weird now. I need to relearn how to use the site, and get my another subscription, and stop being amazed by the number of people that are ` now!

So, since I filled you in on my insanity please share yours! How are ya'll???

Holy crap! One of my lifetimes wishes partially came true tonight!!

It is SNOWING here in HOUSTON, TEXAS. Which if you didn't know is pretty damn close to hell in terms of heat. So the fact that it is snowing is somewhat of a Christmas miracle!!

For those of you who didn't know I haven't seen snow before so this is like HUGE to me!!!

Tonight I went with a friend to see the Twilight movie which I have been dying to see and I come out of the theater to see my Mini Penny covered in 2 inches of the most beautiful white fluffy goodness ever!

This was the best Christmas gift ever, and I totally loved playing outside in it even though on the ground it wasn't even 1/2 an inch. Now I know where I should be looking for jobs. I wanna live somewhere with 4 actually seasons (not just hot, hotter, hottest, and hellacious, like it is here in Houston) and where I can have a white Christmas.

Of course tomorrow the temperature is supposed to go up to the 50's so it won't last, but I can't even explain how happy it made me tonight. I think in my head I completely became a lil kid again. You know that wonderful time where things like work, life, and love aren't important...just having fun is all that matters. And damn did I have fun!

Today was such a wonderful day.

I hope everyone is doing well. I miss talking with some of ya'll so much I hope everyone has a great season no matter what you celebrate and enjoy it to no end!

thanks to all of ya'll for the kind words after my last journal. Life is still insane with 10 hour work days and some drama, but I have gotten through most of it, cut out a lot of it, and am finally getting to be happy again. You guys are wonderful.

Life. It's unpredictable. It's unfair. It blows your mind.

But I guess everyone needs a reminder every once in a while of their own mortality, the need to make informed decisions, and the realization that people don't always keep their promises.

Basically, in the last 2 weeks I almost totaled my car when a suburban ran a stop sign and stopped literally (i got out and looked) 2 inches from the entire passenger side of my car, got a scratch and dent in the car about 3 inches long when what seems to be a rock hit my car, got a ridiculous raise at work plus benefits, lost said raise/benefits due to hurricane Ike killing our budget due to damages and how long we were closed, realized i should have taken the job offered to me in Arizona, fought/broke up with a guy who because he didn't think i could make enough time for him due to work/family, sat at the hospital for 2 days with my mom who had to have surgery,and got turned down for a job in Ireland.

I need chocolate.

And a double shot of whiskey.

So yeah, I'm on hiatus. I've got to get this all under control. Don't know when I'll be back but I will, and feel free to email me.
